We occasionally run across articles that explicitly express what we think and desire to promote about missions in our churches. I could strive to write a new article, but why waste time when these are written so well. These articles give practical and viable suggestions about promoting global ministries in the local church.
The first one is “10 Ways to Develop a Missions Culture in Your Church” by Paul L. Davis and Katelyn Hawkins of Association of Baptists for World Evangelism (ABWE).
The second article I would like to draw your attention to is “Igniting a Heart for Missions: How Churches Can Inspire a Passion for Global Outreach” on the Reach Ten Forty organization website. This one gives more specific practical suggestions to keep global missions alive in the local church and how to inspire young people to consider global ministries for the future.
We can’t afford to sit back and revel in our past accomplishments. FEBC has sent out many good global partners in the past. The challenge is to continue to ignite the hearts of our young people now.
How are you promoting the global mission in your church? I would love to hear your comments.
